In my defense, life has been a bit nuts. We decided to refinish our basement which required lots of sorting and cleaning out. My house is a construction zone right now, LOL. My parents sold their house and are moving here. Luckily the basement will be refinished since they are going to be living with us for the time being. Funnily enough those two decisions weren't related, just a happy coincidence :-). I've also resigned my position at church. They are restructuring things which would require me to work at least two more days a week and I don't want to do that. I've agreed to stay until 1 October so they have plenty of time to fill my position. In truth the timing is perfect. I want more time to do things with my parents. They love to go out to lunch, movies, day trips that kind of thing so I expect we will be a lot busier in a good way.
I did managed to get a teeny, teeny bit of stitching done. I finished Susan's neighborhood round robin.
1. Finish Georgie's round robin.
2. Work on ATS, I’d like to at least get the top portion done and the clouds outlined
3. Finish BBD’s Where My Heart Blooms
4. Finish a Christmas Ornament
5. Finish 4 sections on DT Toccata Four
6. Work on BBD Willow House
7. Do one block on VoHRH
8. Blog on Fridays (I really admire everyone who manages to blog several times a week, I'd be happy if I could manage once a week, LOL.)
I think it’s an ambitious list considering how much I haven’t stitched the last few months but maybe having some goals will motivate me ;-).
I have a lot fun things coming up the few months. Heather is visiting Colorado. We are going to spend a day together and go to Fancimats and lunch. My friend Karin and her daughter are coming to visit us this month. My parents will be here late August. The Sampler Guild starts back in September which is always a lot of fun. Finally in November Karin and I are going to the Attic for their Blackbird Weekend. We are anxiously awaiting the final details. I think they will be in the newsletter today :-).

This was a long post, I guess I shouldn't wait 6 weeks between entries, LOL. I appreciate everyone who reads my blog, thank you all. I will leave you with a picture of Sophie and Chloe.

Susan's RR looks wonderful and I love your progress on T-IV, just gorgeous!
Your puppies are so cute and CLEAN! I have a white and gray shih tzu that NEVER looks clean, even right after grooming. ;-) How do you keep your pups spotless?
The RR looks fantastic! You are busy in the coming weeks/months.....
Loving your stitching!! Your puppies are adorable! Sounds like you have some busy days ahead!v
I happened upon your blog just by "surfing". I have to say I love your "I want to finish list"!! I have several of those started myself...but mostly it's nice to see someone not afraid of having several projects going at once. And how can you go wrong with BB or samplers?!
Susan's neighbourhood looks great as does Toccata Four!
Sophie and Chloe look adorable as ever - grown so much.
Enjoy the time with your parents.
It definitely sounds like you are going to be keeping busy in the next few months. Are you going to the SB retreat this year?
Thanks for posting a picture of my RR. It’s gorgeous! I’m totally thrilled with everything that everyone has stitched on my RR. I will definitely be framing this one when it makes its way home to me!
Sounds like you have some fun times planned ahead. Love the rr. Good for you on making some goals. They do seem to help me stay a little more focussed. xx
Wonderful job on the NRR piece and Toccata Four.
I am jealous, you get to meet up with Heather...she is so sweet. I do hope you ladies hava a wonderful visit.
I am wondering if your mom stitches? :)
Sophie and Chloe are too cute!!! Guess who finally found a puppy??? :)
Nice to see you here again! Love the RR you worked on!
Good to see you back. I see you have VoHRH on your to get some done on list. Mine is there too, but little gets done on it.
I envy you your trip to the Attic in November. That is a wonderful shop and BBD ladies do a great job with their classes.
A goal of blogging once a week is a good one. I try that too. I am with you as to how people can blog several times a week. Takes too much time away from the other things we need to do.
Nice to see you back blogging. Keep up the good work.
It's great to see you blogging again! Oh your August sounds wonderful. Your stitching looks pretty and I just love the photo of Sophie and Chloe, they are so cute :)
Looks like you've been busy with the renos - you're little puppies are so cute!

and I love your new blog look!
Isn't that site great?
Hi there. Just catching up on my blogs and realized that I had not been by in a while.Haven't seen a RR in so long I forget that I belong to it. Beautiful job on Susan's neighborhood.
When DH and I retired we moved closer to my parents to be there for them. I so wanted to spend more time with them. Well, they are so busy I rarely see them but at least they are hale and hearty. Enjoy having your parents nearby. Too soon we have to learn to be without them.
BTW did you know there is a store in Littleton called Diversions and they sell the widest variety of threads I have ever seen. I have a good friend who lives in Denver and she goes there sometimes to get me some threads Im having trouble finding.
