Blackbird Christmas Garden and Elizabeth McCully

Yea!!!!  I have finished Blackbird Christmas Garden :-).  What a fun piece to stitch, I loved all the motifs and I am very happy with the alphabet.

Just a note, I've sent emails to everyone who asked for information on the change.  If you asked for it and didn't get it, I didn't have an email address or I got a reject when I tried to send it.  Please let  me know if you didn't receive an email and were expecting one!!!!

Next up for me is a present for my mom and another Blackbird piece, Eveline Cunningham!!!  I am going to stitch my great-grandmother's name, Elizabeth McCully, on it.  I hope it will go quickly, I need to start on a class piece for the Sampler Guild of the Rockies spring seminar.

I hope everyone is happy and healthy and finding lots of time to stitch :-).  Thanks for taking time to read and comment on my blog, I so appreciate it.

Happy Stitches,
Katrina

Your Christmas Garden is just stunning Katrina! I have this one all kitted up and I think I've decided that I will alter my finish as well. Instead of the wording or an alphabet I'm just going to continue the border around and omit the lettering. It will be awhile before I can start though.

I look forward to seeing Eveline. I stitched this one as a memorial to my father and changed the colours. It was an enjoyable stitch.

Hi Katrina! It's been a long time. I have just started to stitch again, nothing too big, it's a gift for my sister. I hadn't stitched since Roger passed, and it's been 9 years now. I noticed the dates on here as well are from 2013 -- are you not updating this Blog any longer, or just gotten really busy? It happens! we all know that, right!? Anyway, you have some gorgeous pieces here and I love seeing the variety you have on your blog. You have always done a lot in a short time. I don't stitch fast, and need magnification to do it now . I hope you are well, and enjoying life! Not much has changed for me. I went to work for a year and 9 months and decided to quit a day before my 64th birthday. I'm now 66 1/2. Time flies. Drop a note if you get a moment....Blessings to you and your family and I think your Mom and you look a lot alike. She is a pretty woman! I remember those days -- looks like it might have been in the 60's?? The clothing was what made me think that. ttys -- Cathy Caldwell
